We use this for everything. Coloring,painting, eating and so she can see us cooking in the kitchen. It's holding up well to daily use. I do wish I'd bought one without the shape cut outs on the side. They become foothold for climbers.Exactly what I wanted, easy to set up, sturdy and folds nicely and fits into the closet when not needed.It takes up a bit more floor space than i thought it would and the sides have a bit of give even when locked. That said it was quite easy to assemble and folds down easily. Allows my curious toddler to help out in the kitchen without being held. A smaller footprint would work better for us, but in all i would still recommend it.I bought this for my granddaughter for Christmas. My husband assembled it and found the directions font to be very small. It took awhile to study the directions but once he sorted the parts and understood the process it was easy enough to assemble. We found the screw that secures the platform to be useless. If you install it, the unit cannot be folded…which is the reason I bought this model. A latch would be a better option but we just left the screw off and the step is still very stable. My daughter loves the stool because it folds compactly and my granddaughter (15 months) loves standing at the counter. I was also pleasantly surprised that one of the side bars has a latch to retract the bar so she can climb up on it when she is a little older.Our 18 month old took a little while to understand the benefit of climbing in his tower to see what’s going on but now he loves it! It’s a great way to give him an activity near me while I’m trying to get dinner made before his dad is home to occupy him. The fact that it folds up was hands down the biggest deal to me, and we actually don’t fold it much but when we do I’m so glad we can!Our little guy loves it & it's his fav thing to do daily.It was very expensive.This is so safe and beautiful!
