I retired an old bowl about the size of the middle one and bought this set to replace it. The bowl trim is colorful, the plastic is sturdy and not easily scratched, the non-skid on the bottom must be working since it hasn't been an issue. The sizes are as advertised but I was still surprised at just how big the largest bowl is. The storage requirements don't seem significantly different from the one bowl they replaced but the large bowl is a huge bonus. I just happened to get these before the holidays and I needed to make some once a year dishes. A large batch of sausage balls is so large I usually just clean and flour the table to mash it all together and this time I was able to do it with the large bowl. How nice to have a huge bowl available. I've also used the small bowl to make batches of cookies so all the bowls have been handy.I saw another reviewer mention using them in the microwave and this was one of the things I wanted to be able to do as well. Actually, all I do is melt butter and I have done that several times with the small bowl and I haven't had any issues. It is pretty light use in the microwave but I haven't noticed the bowl being hot or having hot spots so far.These are 3 great general purpose bowls for a good price. They are working great for me and I see them lasting for many years.
