Beautiful island, as pictured, of fine wood.I suggest using #10 screws to attach the wheel assemblies, instead of the larger diameter screws provided. The #10's fit tightly into the pre-drilled holes, whereas the screws provided are quite difficult to insert all the way.Don't tighten the bolts attaching the legs until you have attached the shelf, or you will have to loosen them to attach it.This is a very good product. The quality is excellent and the women in my house are very pleased. It is very solid and a good working height. We decided to oil the entire surface with a good quality butcher block oil. It is beautiful and the color is very warm and a good match for the Oak cabinets in the kitchen.I would give this product a AAA+++ rating. My table came without the assembly instructions. I contacted the company and they were very helpful and e-mailed a PDF file of the instructions. The table is easy to assemble. I could have done it without the instructions. There was only the placement of 4 stability brackets that I was wanting more information for. As I said, the people were most helpful. The table in imported by White Wood Furniture (I think). I found them on the Internet with a little searching.Exactly what I wanted!Good materials, good workmanship, solid, heavy. I'd buy it again.I had been searching for a small island with a thick butcher block top for almost a year. I saw this one on line and couldn't believe it. It is very high quality. Easy to assemble also. I painted the legs and bottom shelf barn red and added a basket to the bottom shelf. It is perfect! I highly recommend this island! Love it!Just what we were looking for. This island is the perfect size for our smaller, 11X11 kitchen. We added some carved wood appliques at the top of the legs and fluted bun feet (instead of the casters) and painted the base barn red. It's gorgeous and looks like it cost 5 times what we paid (we bought it on sale for around $217 from a big box store website.)The island arrived in good condition, no splits in the legs. The top had a couple of dings (one on one corner and two small gouges on opposite edges) , but as we are using it as a cutting surface, that was fine with us. It's quite heavy and sturdy. It was very easy to put together. The finish was smooth and ready to paint. We used a high-end exterior latex for durability. The top is a 2 3/4 inch thick end grain butcher block, which we treated with mineral oil every day for a week before using. It was very dry, so we are continuing to oil it every day. The top must have had a couple deep scratches in it, because there are a couple places that look like they were filled in with a wood putty and sanded smooth. Again, since we are using it as a cutting surface, it just adds character for us.Attached is a photo of the finished island in our kitchen. It feels like we remodeled! :)
